Bloom Festival Dublin 2011

This weekend we really had a great time. We been visiting the Bloom Festival in Phoenix Park were I got some great pictures . OK ... they been acquired with some help from my daughter.
The location was mentally busy and I mad the bad choice of having high heels which unfortunately have been broke on the way to the festival.Other then that all was beautiful.
The floral arrangements was absolutely amazing as you can see for yourself

Beside all this flowers was stalls of vegetables were I could not believe the size of onions. I probably use one of those in a full week of cooking...

I have here a picture of lilies just to show you the size of this flowers. The necklace what I wear is my first attempt of beading crochet. Anyway is done from a hand full of recyclable beads and just few leftovers swarovski crystals.

And here is is my beautiful daughter which took a break from her study for the leaving cert and another pic of me with my husband.

Fit for a Quinn

Done with a combination of Peyote stitch and simple stringing this chain is done in around few hours.
After I done it now I have a big problem : where to wear it and what to match  to this beauty.
This may end as a present or so...

I don't even know what technique I have been used in this bracelet but the seed beads and the Swarowski crystals have been getting very well together.
I am still at that stage of my creations when I am experimenting and learning about the materials what I am using and about the combinations between them.

Earth's crust

Just finish another addition for my collection. Trying to master the brick stitch and actually hope it came OK.

Totally confusion... Finish cleaning or so I think and now have some rest but can't figure out what to do : crocheting , some beading , do some tapestry ... or better do some sushi with my daughter...very  very confusing ...

Colors of the earth

Just done this bracelet after a pattern from Bead and Button magazine.

I loved the simplicity of the design and I hope all this earthy colors are OK together.

I never imagined that craft world is so big and beautiful.
As a little child I was sewing, crocheting and knitting but recently discovered that making beaded jewellery can be as awarding as the others.
