More squares

Is going very slowly or so I think because I am under time pressure.
Anyway I am half way down with my quilt and my mind is already racing to another 100 things to start.
I think I have to hold my horses as I still have two cardigans started , a table runner from crochet, few hundred jewellery pieces and this was the year to finish all of them.
well .... I have to get over this too...

To get back to my quilt I have below few pics 

All of them are part of the science theme which is included in my quilt

Wild Orchid

I like the outcome of my first flower done after a pattern which I find in Diane's Fitzgerald book.
I would probable do a little scale down next time but at the moment I am happy.
Her book ''The Beaded Garden'' is absolutely brilliant when you try to get new skills on beading , love it.

OK is same flower but can't decide which of the picture is best .
Anyway the main thing is the Orchid is actually come beautiful and I manage to acquire  new experience .

New job

OK , have to recognise I am going a little bit mad with the new findings.
Find few days ago I come across  a notice about a little competition for quilts. Yeah you heard well quilts, which I never did or actually touch in  my life. And so I go on starting this quilt or what I think will be a quilt .
The single condition which I think is for the competition between quilts and  science.
Many people tell me quilts have a very good maths at the base, OK I have no connection with maths (accountant ... ha) but I would make the connection between quilts and many other science.
 Here are my first few patches.

This is just for filling and have no connection other than nature with science

 electricity and nuclear energy

 space travel and the last two are under the sea

 

and this is my helper which had to approve of the softness of the patches.
He is checking very often all my job and tell me were I need few more beads or if he don't like to many

Work in progress

I don't really know if anyone remember my needle work which I posted some time ago... god I can't even remember when was that but lucky me I still have some pictures from that time

In the mean time I have been participating to few craft fairs , taking up a knitting club and ICA (Irish country woman association) not like would be so many country woman in middle of Dublin but is  a funny one to go at.
Done about two cardigans ( need some pictures to add here ) and try to finish few projects in crochet which have been started years ago.
After about 1 year I made some little progress

Promise my self by end of May 12 to finish it up ... ha ha...

New jwelery pictures

I play around with my camera and come with new pics of my latest jeweleries.

I definitely would have to do a course in photography or something to be able to use better my camera .
Need to get to know how to use the settings in the camera and how to direct the lighting .

Total confusion

I had a very nasty surprise tonight . I was wondering throw my blogs which I follow and trying to leave few comments and find my self I have no clue where to leave them as I can't find the link for the comment . I am very frustrate as I do not understand way Google change always interfaces and all sort of this. Hate it....grrr

Fall colors or just a funky combination

Trying to perfect my crocheted technique and I come out with this bracelet. At first find this to be only a very funky bracelet were the swirls of the colors give me the directions of my crochet patern.
Later looking at this from far realize all the colors used are actually so much for autumn ... so I have to thik again and do few more for spring and summer.
Anyway the spring colors of 2012 are probably the most beautiful ones , so have a look for yourselves.

Lunch break

Yeah , I decide to go on my lunch break for a change today and what I find? See  for your self :

Yes , all my lovely flower pots was just small pieces.
So my half an hour break transformed in a nightmare, brushing and sweeping , at a superwoman's speed , all the garden. Not like my garden is very big but the deck sweeping is a horrible job to do.
Anyway  here is the finish  and the culprit.

New techniks

So many new thinks I have been acquire and practise this year , I am asking my self how many more I will learn until the end of the year. The main think is I manage to get few pictures better done then the ones before .

I still need to get a lens for Macro but at the moment I have to hope my pics are good in off with what I have and pray for my husband to get a paid job.

Last additions

I have make my self a promise so this Year I will finish most if not all the crafts started and left all over the house

BUT ... for the moment I did actually started with a new acquisition and in special learning a new technique
Crochet beading was tempting me from very long time so finally one day just come to me ( in the form of Youtube lessons) .
